What I have explained to you is the exact way to do what you just described. Simply click on the rank you want to change, and change its text in "Text Entry" to the right.
Also, if you wish to change the requirements and / or add ranks, you can find those values in Data Editor -> Game UI Data -> Default SC2 UI Settings -> UI - Unit Kill Rank.
It doesn't matter if he thinks he was righteous in killing thousands of civilians.
He was just another deluded fool who was given too much power. Trying to empathize with him makes me sick.
That's pretty neat actually. Only thing I would suggest is using more of the doodads instead of buildings to make them look more like actual spaceships, or combine them (like you have in some parts) to make them look less recognizable.
A friend of mine had a similar concept quite some time ago.
The main issue with it is that it lacks replayability. Once the puzzles are solved...well, that's it.
Should be at least somewhat entertaining the first go around, however.
18+ agreements have always amused me. Useless, legal things.
But Blizzard makes a habit of banning over useless, legal things, so you're all good there.
Cameras panning across scenery only causes lag if the angle is so that the entire map is being rendered. Rendering all the terrain / doodads at once is really hard on mid to lower-end computers. As long as the camera is at a 40-90 degree angle or so, pointing at the ground mostly, it shouldn't make people's computers lag.
If your dead, it would be cool if you could hear the mafia and masons and whatnot.
That might not be such a good idea if the dead have an outside way to contact the alive.
Also, polishing the terrain / lighting / cinematics really shouldn't take that long. It'd probably take me 10 hours at max, considering how small the map is. It's testing triggers / data editor stuff that takes a long time.
Didn't realize he was new, I might have cut him some slack then. In that case, I'll be slightly more considerate and say that I believe the Hellion has a blue flame effect that you could use for the Firebat. Otherwise I'm not certain if it's possible to tint the Firebat's flame effect.

The abilities / combat mechanics look nice. I like the direction this is headed.

Oh, change the Data Source to "All Data." It should be on the first drop-down.

Modules -> Text
First search criteria: UnitKillRank

I'm working on a (unannounced) single-player map, as I do so hate having to depend on stupid people. It's far from finished, however.

That's one ugly loading screen thing.

I want to see a FPS similar to Metroid Prime.

Definitely a step in the right direction, looks quite a bit better.
Edit: I'd also probably add dropshadows to the text / portraits and such.
