lol, ok...yeah, im guilty of not surfing the whole site. spend most of my time looking at tutorials and dev forums. just thought i would share my enthusiasm with all y'all.
Haha, yup...it was turned off Riley. I haven't gotten into the mouth animation yet, but thanks for the info JLogan. I just wanted it to animate, for now at least.
Having trouble getting my transmissions to animate, anyone know how to get them to work? Ive seen youtube videos of peoples maps that have animated transmission, I just don't know how.
Under the different ally setting, there is one listed as Share Vision, Control and Resources...does anyone know if there is a way to share resources without sharing control?
I have a unit that is flagged uncommandable and I want to make it commandable when a triggers occurs, I can't find the right action to do this though. Anyone know how to uncheck a flag via triggers?
Ok, thanks for the clarification. I just cant seem to figure out whats missing. The unit has all the different death effects listed but when I send the unit an actor message via triggers it doesn't work. I based this trigger off of Zifoons Hero Revive map. In order to retain the hero levels, the unit doesn't die but appears to via a series of triggers that pause the unit, send it an actor message to "die". My problem is that when the trigger occurs the unit just pauses, disappears and then reappears at the target location. It skips the actor, and I cant figure out whats missing.
The only "death actor" for a marine is just a sound that plays when they die.
I know it's a sound, but when you look at the list of components on the marine, under Actors, there are two...Marine, and Marine Death. It is a sound actor but i believe it triggers an animation event. My hero doesn't have this actor for some reason, and I cant figure out how to give it to him.
Does anyone know if its possible to create a custom draw distance trigger? Say by attaching a region to a unit, u could make doodads only visible within that region? I would imagine it would help performance, but maybe the trigger handling all those doodads might slow things down. Just thinking out loud, any thoughts are appreciated.
I have a hero that i copied from a marine but for some reason it didnt copy the marines death actor. Is there a way to add this to him? I want to be able to send the actor a message via triggers, but the actor isnt there, so nothing happens. Thanks for reading. (=

How did you get the transmission to animate? When I made one, the image remained static.

Was wondering if anyone could link a page that lists all the different text tagging commands, such as how to change color etc...

Found a work around, thanks for the suggestion though.
