While cutting and the likes is a good thing to do... don't discount the long-take either. In today's world of Bourne movies where everything is CUT CUT CUT SHAKY CUT SHAKY CUT... a longer scene can really have a deep impact (no pun intended). But if you can find a way to chop it up that highlights certain parts of a battle... that's the best thing. Otherwise you have to make sure the entire long-take is interesting.
Either way, I'm still really impressed by your use of camera angles/rolling for a first cinematic. My cinematics are usually quite static ><
I really like the cone-thing and attack-ground. Two things that would be quite useful.
Oh Prozaic, I made a trigger for Infection (you remember my map hopefully) that'll detect if you missed your attack-click on a unit by a small value+its radius... then itll target that nearest unit. I think it'll help the map's newbfriendlyness!
... this is odd... keep in mind the tutorial is a bit older.
Does anyone else know what Grimm's issue may be? I'm supposed to be writing a paper atm so I shouldn't open the editor LOL. I shouldn't even be here... come on onetwo... get back to work.
I would try just making a regular unit... I think they have the item field.
If Blizzard exacts enough control over the Warcraft movie, it'll be awesome... and it's only a matter of time until there's a Diablo movie and then a Starcraft movie, then Blizzard becomes the top-known entertainment deliverer... eventually earns enough money to buy out Vivendi, and then they surpass Apple by 2-fold in stock prices.
Also, good to know about removing... but yeah triggering unit has lost its reference for me in one of my published maps which I had to fix by storing it.
To Sublimity: Good to know. Both work... it also demonstrates using Pick each unit, which a lot of people could use some familiarity with.
I know recently there was a data tutorial on doing revival... well I did the flipside which is the trigger method... heroes will revive with level, items, etc...
Part 1:
Right click the video and click watch on youtube to get widescreen/fullscreen.
Subsequent parts in the descriptions...Map DL link in the descriptions too.
I think your grammar may have messed up a bit... but anyway... far clip is always black though right? How can you match nice grayish/blueish fog to that?
This actually brings up a big issue with far clip and fog and skies. For FPS's and 3rd person games, we need to lower the far clip, but sky gets clipped (unless someone knows a way around this), and as well... the fog doesn't blend nicely into the sky/far clip. It only affects terrain/doodads etc... meaning we'd have to wall-up the sides of our map with giant rocks or something.

I'm dreaming.

It'd be funny if we couldn't find the trailer because it was on the 7th page of a list of "most popular" trailers.

Death time is important. Won't work without it.

Haha awesome. Hey is the intro song from the campaign? I swear I heard it in the campaign music list last night. So cool.
