I thought of adding the Zerg - building spawn broodling behavior onto unit's attacked, but then how can I make those broodlings belong to the attacker?
As the title says, I'm to make a buff that once placed on a unit, will cause it's attacks to infest it's targets causing a brooding to burst out if/when they die.
As far as I know there's no default sc2 ability similar to this, so kind of have little idea how to do this?
Thanks all the responses and especially for the tutorials
Ok so first off the DT doesn't actually seem to have the behavior 'Permanently Cloaked' as I first thought, he just has the flag 'Cloaked' enabled instead. Right?
Nice for you to make a post on the forums, I love the blood bath icon, great job! Yeah that infest one is a real tricky one it seems lol.
I just finished the SC2 campaign literally this minute, so no more distractions. I'll post the whole project very shortly! Hope you guys will be interested in playing and perhaps a few more icons.
Wow, very impressive man!! Thank you very much, I'll put them to good use.
An idea perhaps for the Plague Icon maybe make the flies more Dark Greenish / Gas Cloud like, as thou there spores.
Now that SC2 is out, apart from playing the campaign, I'll be working alot harder on this project now so it expect it soon :)

Hi,
A while a guy on here was kind of enough to make a spell for me, a Buff that added a shield bonus onto a unit.
So anyways I tried making a very similar spell that adds a health regeneration bonus onto a unit.
I copied everything, it works fine but I just can't get the model effect part working, it's just an invisible/unnoticeable buff at the moment.
I'm not quite sure what's wrong, still a bit new with data editor.
Here you can see the ability has every part.
I think this may be the problem, I copied the spell from 'Plasma Field' and I can't seem to change these field names in the actors:
If not, if your spell worked but no model effect was being created, what would you think the problem would be?

Hey thanks, problem is I want the buff castable on any unit, that way would be pretty long :p

I got it working now, with a very simple method.
Assassin enters map - Add Permanent Cloak
Assassin attacks a unit - Remove Permanent Cloak
Simple as that :)

Hmmm I did that and it doesn't seem to work, the DT just remains cloaked. Unit - Add 1 Decloak to (Attacking Unit) from (Attacking Unit)
Debug messages definitely show the triggers is activating on each attack.
Is there anything else I need to do in the behaviors?

I had a look 'State Flags' it only contains 'Hidden'
I also checked behavior modifications to disable abilities, couldn't find any cloak, invisibility or anything like that.

Hi,
I'd like to alter the Dark Templar, making his permanent invisibility disappear AFTER he's made his first attack.
In other words his invisibility is a on off thing for the initial strike/assassination then it's gone for good..
I understand how/what to do with triggers, but I can't find the invisibility field in the DT's data editor. What would I be removing once he attacks?
thanks

This is why map protection is so essential. Not much you can do, just contact the author and watch out for the guy uploading this map anywhere.

Back when using the BETA Edtior, I made quite a few behaviors that effected unit's stats such as a basic damage bonus. They were easily tweak able.
Now in new editor I can no longer find the fields to alter, such as damage bonus? I'm not sure how else to explain this.
Where have the stat modifications gone in behaviors ?
It still works fine in game, but I can find where the figures/digits have disappeared to.

Hiya,
I'm currently working on a project that could really use some custom icons. Typically the 76x76 size ones.
If that sounds good, maybe I could leave a few requests, see if you fancy any of them.
Thanks.

Sorry for such a late reply, I'll update the main thread very shortly, hopefully with some decent requests that may catch your eye.
