It's suppose to come off rude. That's the whole point. Some people can't interpret the difference between sarcasm and sincerity. I spell it out for them.

    Long story short

Ex-D2 developer David Brevik criticizes D3, says there are things in the game he wouldn't have done.

Jay Wilson, in a reply to a coworker (on facebook), says "Fuck that loser"

Some people saw this on facebook, insert internet backlash.

He later apologized for his actions, of course. In context, he was talking to his coworkers offhand, not publicly announcing it. The problem was he posted on Facebook, which publicly announces it.

This is one of the only photos I can find when I need because when I type in img into my browswer its the first one the list.

Do you even know what the word hypocrite means? I'm calling his critical opinion and overall attitude shit. The majority seem to agree with my opinion while the only people defending him...are you guessed it...THE CRITICS. Sure I may be a little blunt about it, I'm not going to beat around the bush though. To become a hypocrite I would have to do something like EteranalWraith. Like threatening to ban a community member for swearing while swearing in my posts. Then going into another thread swearing and calling another person a retard.

If you actually pay attention to what Kerrigan is saying and that it all comes down to being a dream the whole clip makes perfect sense. She is dreaming about a bunch of hopeless Terrans futile efforts at stopping the swarm. That's how she saw the strength of the Zerg.

Where do you think that Siege Tank was fleeing to? If you pay any attention to the series the swarm shows up without warning. In all likely hood they just didn't have enough time to mount a proper defense. We can't know why the Viking transformed, but from what we see in the clip is that the rest of them were getting anally penetrated by the Mutalisks. He may have thought his chances were greater on the ground than in the air.

If any of you had any idea on military strategy/discipline you would know that you follow orders or you endanger yours or anothers life. It's almost entirely possible that they were told to hold that position at all costs. The marine that turns around realizes the futility of the defense and senses his demise.

It's sad that this even has to be explained to anyone.

Also, I just read the critiques on page 2, and honestly I think they're pretty correct in their assessment. I didn't get much out of this trailer except for the ending, but then I remember the WoL campaign (and D3 story) and fear it'll just be another one of those.

Just seemed like a lot of mindless action with very basic Kerrigan lines. The ending was really only the redeeming part. CGI was amazing though!

Edit: Also that rant above calling the guys on page 2 'steaming piles of shit' is not exactly a great post, interesting that you guys +1'd it. Oh well.

It's +1'd because it's true. Critics are the worst people. They have no intentions of ever enjoying anything and try to bring their misery and hatred of everything upon everyone else. They are indeed steaming piles of shit.

Look at these movie critics tearing apart the cinematic. Your opinion is shit just like other critics. The same reason why I no longer read reviews anymore. Critics are retarded and give no real insight on how good or bad something really is.

    • Oh no! They used the Wilhelm scream! IT SUCKS NOW!...
    • OMG! The futuristic Viking transforms just like...A TRANSFORMER!
    • WTF? Those Siege Tanks shells EXPLODE?
    • LOL...That Marine looked over his shoulder because a massive Nydus Worm just shot out of the ground behind him...what a pussy! If I were a trained marine I'd just keep blindly firing at the Zerg infront of me without a care for what is happening behind me.
    • OK SERIOUSLY? A massive Battlecruiser Starship just crashed instead of exploding in the sky?..strait out of a Michael Bay film.
    • WOW...It was only a dream? It makes no sense that Kerrigan who was betrayed and left to die to the Zerg by Arcturus Mengsk would have dreams about sending the swarm which she controls to destroy Korhal...nope makes no sense at all.

Make something better or get over yourself you steaming pile of shit.

TBH the only story out of Diablo that I cared much about was Diablo 1. The atmosphere it had made the most impact on my young, impressionable gamer mind. Now I'm mostly jaded to story, whether it's fed to me on a silver spoon or if I had to hunt for it through endless conversations. The Mass Effect series was probably the last great story experience I had, but it was a pathetic let down at the very end.

Mass effect may just be the best story I've seen in a video game. If it weren't for those last 20-30 minutes it would have been damn near perfect. Still too many questions left and plot holes even after the ending dlc. Bioware did a great job with getting you attached to characters. I'm not going to lie, my eyes got a little bit watery at some parts.

Turian brandy, triple filtered, then introduced into the suit through an Emergency induction port...

    That's a straw Tali...

    Emergency induction...port.

    @rtschutter: Go

I'm not an expert on this stuff but for the models I use attachments with the origin is at the feet of the model. If you're attaching to a flying unit the origin may be on the ground below it. Like I said though, I ain't no expert and may not be right.

I prefer the "dumbed down" games compared to what we use to have.

Ghosts and Goblins Battletoads Ninja Gaiden Arkanoid Super R-type Paperboy

Games that made you want to rip your fucking hair out and throw your controllers because the were so insanely hard.

Foul language is also referred to as adult language or mature language. Children are scolded for using it and adults are called immature. There is nothing wrong with it, there are just inappropriate times to use it. I see nothing wrong with his or your use of the words. If anything it just shows for the better part a lack of a better word to use. I could understand if his entire post consisted of nothing but senseless swearing, but they don't. I'm no moderator and I have no authority but I would suggest/hope you would take a step back because you are letting personal hatred of ones posting get to you.

Yea, that's thing. I had fun doing it 1 time. The other 4 times was painful. That's the thing, the game is suppose to be the most fun at max level, and it wasn't.

I personally enjoyed clearing normal 5 times, nightmare 5 times, hell 5 times, and clearing the same act a thousand times in inferno...and not having any PvP ruined D3. It was incredibly fun when I played it at Blizzcon and for it to not be in the game on release AND STILL NOT IN THE GAME is a serious disappointment. He had to go, he has no sight for the future and stuck to a design model that is what? 12 years old?

posted a message on [Tutorial] WoW models into SC2 with team colors.

    @ViruSSofT: Go

There are some things from WoW that can't be imported and/or exported properly with the 3DS Max scripts. Usually it has something to do with the animations. Try making them .obj instead.

If want to cut out an area using alpha just create the texture pretty much the same as above. Instead, switch the Blend mode to Alpha Blend and on the same texture as the diffuse create the alpha mask and set it to render alpha only.

It might take awhile to get responses because that vast majority of us are likely working on our projects since we pretty much all the information we need at our finger tips. If you can't find specific answers on the forums join IRC and ask in there. I'm sure things will pick up again once star tools and hots are released. Triggers can be tricky at first but once you get a hold of them I think they are easier to work with than data.

I doubt that anyone would really put in the time to texture and animate a lot of these because of copyright issues but here's a link for some models.
