I'm trying to implement a stealth mechanic that doesn't involve attack immunity by removing shadows, adding the mime attribute, and setting the units to be transparent.
I don't understand this part :/
About health bars: Yes you can remove them. Mineral fields have health too (10000), but they are invulnerable so it doesn't show that in UI, and the health bars are deactivated.
Unit -> Actor -> UI - Status Bar Flags : Uncheck Life
Honestly, I dont think it will work. Its incredibly hard to find reliable people to work with these days(I consider myself lucky though). People also need considerable incentive and aspiration if they plan on joining a team, both of which is lacking, Which is understandable. Sc2mapster already has a good enough platform for this, So I do not see the point.

It's what we do in our free time, so people can just say "I'm sick of this, screw it". It's really hard to find good and reliable people to work with.
Question is, do you want the ability to constantly heal like medivac/science vessel or instant heal like queens heal?
For medivac type, you need the "create healer" effect type, for instant heal you need "modify unit".
If you quickly want to test it with a step by step guide, select science vessel (doing it with an instant heal works very similar):
1. Select "nano repair" in abilities
Change target filters - "mechanical" allowed instead required and "can have shields" as required instead allowed
((*Ability target sorts - Change TSlifefraction to TSshieldsfraction)) (I think that is only needed if you need it to cast smart)
2. select "nano repair" in effects
Change "recharge vital" to shields
-> working, but you would need to rename it, change tooltips, the ratio and speed at which it restores shields as you need etc. I tested it.
I'd start with disassociating it from vampires, first because there are no vampires in Starcraft, second because right now the majority of people hate vampires due to the popularity of the Twilight series.
First: there were no vampires in warcraft either.
Second: who cares about stupid sparkling vampires? o.0
I am working on a remake ("Vampirism" like the name of the map in WC3). If someone (or myself) comes up with a good idea to replace the vampire theme, then I will do it.

If you can do it in data, don't do it with triggers.
Data is way more efficient!

So you want stealth units that are hard to see, don't get attacked by attack move and turrets, but attackable without detection. Is that right?
Sounds complicated to implement.

@Siaon: Go
Have you ever seen in a melee game that the camera was in the bottom left? no?
That's because the " Melee - Create melee starting units for all players " Trigger contains a pan camera with 0 seconds.
If you want to put arbitrary restrictions on yourself, well, do it. But don't ask for help if you know the solution. -.-''

Use triggers and logic, then you have a workaround.
I don't know how you can get a certain slot to a certain spawn spot , but you can get the teams from lobby fairly easy.
If teams are even, setting specific starting points to slots isn't even really needed (like the wars maps etc).

Thanks. Maybe I can use something similar then... :>

Does the ability work? If yes, then it's very likely that the icon is just set to hidden.
Also, if something doesn't work like in melee, you DID modify something. Can be caused by dependencies too.

Hurr, bumpz.

Bump for other method (explanation/link , anything is fine :> )

Similarities, true. But vampires or blood drinking has never been mentioned.
My map certainly won't have friggin sparkle effects. And the vamp won't be cute or close to it.

http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/vampirism/ -> I could only need an artist (terrain and/or loading screen and/or custom icons)

I use this pattern:
Set -> search -> set -> search ......
-> dmg -> launch location (previous search)
etc.
So what would be the other method to implement? I can do it with only 5 too, but 10 would be so much more awesome :>
