I'm pretty sure that's against the Terms of Service. You cannot change the core MPQ files like that. Warden could potentially flag you as having changed your client.

I am totally replying from memory which isn't something you should trust. But go ahead and try it... might work. The actor Events for your Summoning Circle actor is probably looks something like: Abil.SomeSummonSpell.SourceCastStart - Create If it is, try changing it so that it reads: Abil.SomeSummonSpell.TargetCastStart - Create

Are you absolutely sure about this? I seem to remember otherwise.

I don't think you can add any new ones. But did you look into creating a Behavior of type "Attribute" and have your damage effects deal extra damage to whatever has one of that "Attribute"?

Now, I don't know if this works or not but here goes because I don't have the editor here. Have a Behavior of type "Buff" on the buildings which we'll call "Damaged Resource Reward". Now, have an Effect of type "Modify Player" which awards 5 minerals to the target unit. Set this Effect as a Damage Response of the "Damaged Resource Reward" behavior so that the Effect happens on the attacker. A problem I'm seeing is that the resource reward is set at 5 minerals here. You'll need a way to fix that since, as I said, I don't have the editor here and can't really check anything out. Regardless, start from there and see what you can muster up.

Dammit, guys... why does it say "Test Document" on mine? It's not like I'm in Word or something.

The problem I'm finding is that many of the people complaining about the popularity system are the same ones who make bad maps and wonder how it never got onto the first few pages of custom maps. It's like the people who complain Zerg is imbalanced. They play Zerg badly, wonder how they're being trashed and then say that it's because Zerg are underpowered.

I don't think they're checking for the Command Card buttons though. The Xel'Naga tower's ability isn't on the Command Card and, like that, it wouldn't work.

posted a message on Whirlwind Zealot

Hi guys. Here's a request for you artistic folks here, please.

I need a Zealot model that does a Whirlwind animation. Basically, the Zealot swings out his arms and spins rapidly. The Whirlwind animation must be a looping one which I can stop when the Whirlwind behaviour expires.

Thanks a lot to whoever takes up this small challenge.

posted a message on A Warning To Mapmakers
The main problem with the For loops is that they generate an If..else statement. Now, apparently, the else part of each If..else statement would be used in cases where it is a decrementing For loop. Hence, the GUI has to therefore copy the entire loop body into the else statement. Now, a For loop is either incrementing or decrementing making half of every For loop completely useless. Blizzard should start, then, by fixing the if..else statements that create whole copies of the same code.
