I see this every time I look at the Team Recruitment forums, someone asking for a bunch of stuff, but not willing to share information about the project itself because they're worried about their map being stolen. Therefore I suggest we get a list of basic questions that should be answered if you want to recruit/start a team so that everyone has a better idea of what you're trying to accomplish. I'll start with a few useful pieces of info that should be in your post, feel free to respond to the topic and I'll add it to the list. Going through this checklist will answer the basic questions, and give people an understanding of what you want.
What region do you play in?
What time zone are you, and what hours are you available?
What are some methods of contact(msn, skype, AIM, etc..)?
What are you doing for this project?
What roles do you need filled?
What do you have done on the map up to this point? Please try to include images or videos.
A description of the project/team itself so people know what they're getting into.
How much time are you willing to invest in this project per week?
Who else is working on the project?
Consolidating the answers to the above questions into a paragraph would also be a nice touch, rather than just listing the questions and answers.
I see that you're recruiting for all of the big parts of map-making (terrain/triggers/data); what are you doing for this project besides coming up with ideas? What do you have up to this point? What region do you play in?
Hey everyone! I'm hosting triggering thursdays in about 10 minutes, for Sc2streamster. We're going to be going over how to do Action definitions, Functions, condition definitions, and records. Hopefully this should be quick, and only take around 45 minutes, and then we'll be doing a 15 minute Q&A followed by suggestions for next week. I hope you guys can make it, because it should be informative.
Hey guys, I'm going to be running the triggering Thursdays from now on, and I was wondering if anyone has any preferences on what subject they may want to see this week. I was planning on doing the stream on the not-so documented dialog item types like sliders edit boxes and progress bars, but I'm open for suggestions.
It's a very fun game vaguely similar to Minecraft, except more of an RPG. I've played the game all the way through, and it's worth buying if you liked Minecraft, but found the combat lacking. It's quite cheap on steam, only about 10$.

I doubt that many people here play WoW, and even if they do they probably don't know what GM island is; it's not common knowledge.

"18. Do you prefer turn based combat (i.e. World of Warcraft), or real time combat (i.e. Oblivion) in games?"
Since when was World of Warcraft turn based?

@TheAlmaity: Go I enjoyed what I read(Which was all of it), but I'm not really all that skilled in short stories to comment.

That would be a great way to start, thanks for the suggestion.

Were you looking to re-create the current GM island in WoW? Or were you planning on making your own 'GM Island'?

People will always act differently when they know/think they're being filmed.
