If anyone wanted to know how I made the snow tileset and snow weather in Prisoner Rebellion, I made this tutorial detailing how. The snow textures are in the editor but just hidden, so we can make the tileset ourselves. Then I'll also show a trick to make snowy weather. Enjoy.
Hey, just a heads up with the snowfall weather. When Graphic settings - > Shaders = Low, it doesn't load HDR settings and therefore the snow is dark ash like normal. I thought of the HDR trick as well but ended up just changing the model file it self to use white textures so people with low end CPU's see white snow as well. :)
Thanks for the tutorial! It's disappointing that it isn't already set up in the editor to begin with though :/
I know there were 2 other tilesets which blizzard promised and then didn't include in the editor (one being a desert) however I don't think the textures were included in the game files.
I put this together in a mod file, which can let you select the tileset as you create the map.
It also includes custom lighting and water which I did some tweaking with to try and make it look like ice (I included a preview below). It could use a bit more tweaking, but it may come in handy. :)
I wasn't going to post a mod file because you already included your map, but it was the only way I could upload the water/ ice, so I put the rest of it in anyway.
The only problem with this as a mod is that it seems to rename the texture names when you create the new map, which I find kind of annoying.

Keep up the good work, you make good tutorials.

Cool plan... I wish we could increase the power of the tint to pure white without HDR

Awesome.
I experimented a little, and had the goal to create a "snowy tree", and i came up with this:
