The one that is on SC2 (Zealot Frenzy? Whatever...) has a fire hero. I can't remember his name right now to save my life. He has a fire attack that goes forward (zig zag) and hits all enemies. How would you go about making an attack like this? I know its a lot of triggers, thats not what I'm asking. It just looks so different than anything else.
You can trigger damage but the way you would control effects in wc3 isnt really possible in SC2.
Though you can control the data objects slightly with triggers. You will be much better prepared to create complicated abilities if you work your way through how to do it in data.

you can do this with out a missile actually you create persistent effect with the offsets of something like this (im not sure these offsets are correct) 1,0.21; 1.5,-0.21; 2,0.21 ;2.5,-0.21 that will cause 2 vertices /\/ < like that
no triggers needed, just use a simple "target effect ability" , then use a persistent with offsets(offsets make it zig zag) , For each offset have a damage effect perscribed for it. and use the damage effect as an event for an actor so that you can show some flames.
You might run into a problem where the damages stack (masses of lil mini damage circles can cause high amounts of damage stacking) . so to fix this do an apply behaviour also (this is a dummy behaviour to use with a validator, so that the damage wont stack) .

I believe you can do this with out triggers actually
You create an persistent effect to find the target location then you fire a missle to the target
the missile's move makes it do the zig zagging
and the missile itself as a periodic behavior that fires off a search effect that fines nearby targets to do a damage effect to
How would you get the fire effect itself? Is there a website that has trigger attacks like WC3 did? I know DotA took the wild axes skill on a website

the "fire effect" all the graphics are controlled by actors.... the movement and damage is controlled by what I described above

nice, ok thank you. Is there a website (besides this one) that has trigger attacks?

well there really arnt trigger attacks
