Hey all. Im working on a darkish urban map, using a mix between Korhal and Zion. Now Korhal has the nice dark concrete, it goes well with decals als you all know, but its getting a little too ... clean ... for an urban map. I want to shade parts of the dark concrete even darker, but Im not sure thats even possible.
Its allmost surgically clean at the moment, while im looking for a more 'abandoned neighbourhood rood' feel to it.
Because it doesnt change the fact that the whole texturework has the same output. I can change the lighting, but that would change all the lighting. The floor would be darker, but still clean.
Its a pretty wasted area, theres gotta be dark spots / spills / tiretracks ...
As there are no fluid decals (i think) or tiretracks (i checked) , dark spots seem to be the way to go here
In that case I'd suggest lightly spickling the normal terrain with any darker texture. Not sure if there are any in the Korhal tileset - if not, you'll have to swap a tile.
