Can anyone help with this? Currently the transition between my map is very ugly/crude. I'd like it to look a bit more natural, or at least less harsh. Is the answer just to change to a different skybox/fog colour? Or put cliffs at the borders like one sees in some maps. The skybox is set to Bel'Shir with a trigger, if that is in anyway helpful. I think this screenshot provides the best example of the problem.
I think the only skyboxes that have a bottom half are the stars/planets ones like Char.
Players shouldn't see this transition in a default camera position. Use camera bounds and such to prevent players from seeing the edges of the map.
Use cliffs or doodads around the edges to create a feeling of a world and not just a square. And you can make cliffs around the edges to hide the transition as well. I suggest adding more map space and doing that if you are using a third person camera.
What Bronx said; I think your problem is that you have this tendency to make *only* top down screenshots. Move your camera down a bit and screenshot a bit more horizontally - you won't have this problem.
I think I am going to add cliffs/doodads down the road to the borders. However, I just recently realized I different issue. The skybox does not actually appear when I am in game. Camera bounds are set to full. Can you offer any insight as to what is causing the issue here?
I would personally go with fog and some bigger than life cliffs.
Skyboxs are very demanding on performance if they aren't set up right. I guess you could turn a skybox model upside down.
I'm new to the editor so if you like one of these ideas you'll have to research it.
Good luck

- or you could make your own skybox...

@hawkerhurricane: Go
Are you using a third person camera or a free look camera?
Also it might have to do with a graphic setting so you should also check your in-game graphic settings.
