Hello SC2Mapster, as some of you might know I have been obsessing over Horologium RPG, learning enough to set it up, that sort of thing. As far as triggers/data go I am doing pretty well, setting up systems of items, inventories, equipments, banking, ability lists, etc.
However, when it comes to this whole being artistic thing, I know for a fact I totally fail. Have a lot to be done in this area to give this project a truly unique feel, not just another kill the zerg thing. I do have one very talented artist working on my necrotic class's icons, but is still much to be done, this includes:
Unique models/textures for the 5 hero classes I have mapped out. Particularly for the Knight type class I need a 3 armed model, would be happy to go into more detail to those interested. The classes themselves are fairly well explained in the link I have attached to my signature for any interested.
Unique icons for the Knight, Wizard, Healer and Archer type classes (these are not what they are called, but is the easiest way to explain them). Again, they are fairly well explained in the link.
Equipment icons for the various equipment to be used in the game, rings, guns, swords,staffs,helms,chests, and a whole lot of stuff which I'd be happy to explain to any interested artists.
I do apologize for not having any good screen-shots of what I am working on posted yet, I am simply not ready to have it seen just yet. Most of the work on the project thus far is beneath the surface, making a working environment for the heroes to fight in.
Perks of working on this project: Get your name in the credits, and find yourself somewhere in the RPG. The one artist I do have helping is going to be one of the bosses in the game, designing the boss to be what she wanted as well (within reason).
The RPG itself is going to be fairly parodic in nature, but have extremely challenging AI to deal with, which scales up with level. Each of the 5 classes will have their own little niche when it comes to combat, which is why there are so few classes. I'll try to post more details later, but actually have to work now instead of describing my mod.
I'm likely looking at 2 months before I have a working Alpha to look at, so is no real hard deadline at this point, but really wanting a custom model for my 3 armed Knight class.
