I can see why you would say that. Dark Archons are pretty OP and especially for Mission 3 the player could just Mind Control the shuttles and the mission would never progress...
You could just use the actual Adept since that isn't in the player's tech tree.
I played mission 3 today and I have some feedback. I didn't have any problems overall but I think in later missions the player should start with a little more tech like a Forge and Cybernetics Core. I had a little bit of a tough time getting that first shuttle down.
Also, do you plan to allow DT's to merge into a Dark Archon eventually? Some of the air attacks, especially the initial Mutalisk attack in mission 2, are very difficult to repel so I thought the player would have the option of creating a DA to defend since we start out with two of them.
Most of these data issues and such can only be solved by clean reinstalls. Before you do that, make sure everything is in the correct folder as stated by Hultmantable.
Another question: Are you unable to open the map altogether in that it just doesn't load, or you get the "unable to open map" error? If it's the former then I'm afraid you'll have to run the SC2 Repair from the Battle.net launcher or just reinstall.

It's going well! I actually thought up the computer-ally macroing and human hero micro because that was a mission type I planned. Hope your project turns out what you want it to be ;)
I could play the first mission just fine, and my computer is crap. It's probably something with these folks' game files that's messed up, because I've had that happen to me a couple times, requiring a clean reinstall...
Love the terraining work, it's much better than Pandora and captures the feel of planet Aiur. Also, I really like that hero Ralis, so I would like to suggest that in future missions, it would be very interesting to play as her and macro at the same time. Another great option for mission variety is to be able to control the hero(es) while an allied AI macros and battles it out with the enemy AI.
