well, i have this friend who has this whole epic hero adventure map planned out. i talked with him about it, and i said i'd help after he actually bought sc2. problem is he's an old friend who's always in another county (not country, just county), so i don't really keep up with him. that being said, the map is kinda doomed. this doesn't make me sad, but the fact that i can't even try because of my crazy life makes me feel as hopeless about other things. thnks for the insightful answer.
and yes, your map REALLY washes up some lines of standard. between the terrain, the immensely integrated class system, and the time already spent, it kicks the crap out of anything on the front page. gem td was fun, for a few days... but this looks captivating.
the project i really abandoned was map of the week, but it's proven to be a pointless effort. hell, the guy who started it wasn't even me; he just up and left all of the problems on my plate. anyways i'll commit myself to playing this when the beta is up. thnks
i gave up on map making... too much shit going on in everyday life. i have to hand it to people who take up this kind of effort. it really takes inhuman perseverance. good job. i always prefer maps with stories and dynamic gameplays, since shit like gem td or battle planets doesn't exactly carry much depth. i can't compete with this kind of map... hell, i can't even keep up with map of the week. just wanted to complement your talent, since i've run out of any sense of self inspiration.
...this makes me think... what is the idea behind the map? i know i should probably just wait for release and play it, but what's the storyline?
thnks
EDIT: man how times change. look at my post on page one and then look at this one... i hope your life's going fine, cus i don't know what the hell i'm doing anymore

HEY!!!! MY MAP HAS VOID IN ITS NAME TOO!!!!
well it sounds like a very detailed project gl
eternal dusk makes me think of hell... as in an endless night (or nightmare)
the name is good... for a book... but it needs to make sense to the eyes stuck to the pages of maps
the time to change names is early on, but only if YOU agree with it, not me or eiviyn...
like i said, the name just doesn't suit a map, but it is inventive
