You can set it as a doodad as joecab said and use TextureSelectById to swap its texture with an actor message. The model uses "smoketile2orange.dds" in the diffuse layer. Search for textures called "smoketile", and you will find them in different colors, or you can just edit the one it uses with photoshop and reimport it.
If you want to edit another skybox, find the textures it uses in the scene editor, and proceed in the same way.
You can also do what joecab say (about changing its tint) via data with an actor message "set tint", but it won't look perfect for example if you want to make it blue (orange doesn't have blue, so it will tend towards white). Anyway, it's easier doing it on joecab's way, since it will be done only once.
