I think I know where the files are, but they are at dds (can't open them, guess GIMP needs a plugin) and they seem to be 0kb when extracted, when the mpqeditor contradicts that.
I could upload the files or the way to get them later, it's pretty easy anyway. You just need to lurk and lurk to find them.
Still no news about the textstrings for all the achievements :(.
So I was bored last night and give it another check:
Ai avatar is it's own separate image, and can be found at textures, named as "ai avatar" or something (/facepalm at missing it, I guess :P).
I found achievement descriptions in esES.SC2Data, in GameStrings.txt (I'm sue it's the same for other versions). They can be found at the text editor, too. The problem is only "offline" achievements are there, that is, campaign and others. The interesting ones, like the FoS, don't appear around, as well as league games. Only their code-names can be found, from object editor -> rewards.
Also, some nice details:
There was a campaign achievement named Hell Its About Time which consisted on completing the side missions (Hanson A/B, Horner S, Tosh A/B and Valerian A/B). Seems this is the one behind the "1590" deal back at the beginning of the game. Its icon was, probably, that of Nova which is unused at the achievement charts: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/static/local-common/images/sc2/achievements/6-45.jpg :).
That doesn't make sense. For that, they would just have to replace the wrong ones, and save code editing. I think they're for something different, but what, no idea at all. Maybe some tournament? Maybe some in-game event?
As for the 3 new achievement icons, we know 2 are for FoS that, currently, make no sense, so are probably scrapped stuff (like the WoL beta achievement icon, that got replaced by WoW: Cataclysm CE icon). The third one is a complete mystery right now. Doesn't seem to be a FoS, or at least, I can't find references to it anywhere.
However, we were completelly blind with the custom map rewards, and they were inside the files all along, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some information about it inside.
By the way, 2 important questions that may help us in searching through the files:
Where is the "Computer" portrait? you know, the one the computer uses in the loading screen. I can't find it anywhere.
Is there any way to view the descriptions of the achievements inside the files? because I can't find them anywhere, either.
Both of those things are inside the files (you could think they're streamed across Bnet, but not, you view them playing offline, too). I think that if we manage to find them, we may find all the others, too. Maybe they're inside some mpq inside the main mpq, or maybe I'm just blind and overlooked them. Maybe we don't extract properly the mpqlist (remember W3 bonus campaign maps, the mpqeditors didn't detect them, and you had to type manually to find them).
Any ideas?

Well, "some" news regarding updated BlizzCon 2010 achievement icon.

Hah, I knew it!
Those are ugly anyway, so I don't care too much about them being available here anyway.
Here's someone with progress on the FoS: http://kr.battle.net/sc2/ko/profile/3179353/1/%EB%A7%88%EC%B4%88/achievements/category/4325394
And here's the article: http://kr.battle.net/sc2/ko/blog/773523
And a nice image:
Update: http://games.on.net/article/10876/Stratagems_Exclusive_StarCraft_2_Uber-Interview
So IGR may be Internet Game Rooms, so they may be rewards for playing some sort of LAN.
Weird. Really weird.
The star :P.
You may see it clearer wit this link: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/281723/1/Lonami/achievements/category/4325394 :).
Ah, didn't see that, awesome.
I noticed they give 6 rewards with that IGR thing... ten bucks they are the 6 new recolored portraits :D.
IGR? O_O
Lol so many pepsi trolls xDDD.
If they post anything interesting copy it back to here :P.
Also: the BlizzCon 2010 icon has changed in-game, noticed just some minutes ago. In the website it's still the same.
New stuff found here: http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/21488-new-version-of-collectors-portraits/?unread but keep the talk here, please. Hope the OP reposts everything here.
A new FoS?
Looking...
I don't find it anywhere, but yeah, seems it's new. I wonder what's it about, what I'm sure is that it gives those rewards, but aside from that...
It's probable icon is the last one here: http://eu.battle.net/sc2/static/local-common/images/sc2/achievements/5-45.jpg
I hope Blizzard isn't really going to give region-exclusive rewards ¬¬.
So I was bored last night and give it another check:
Also, some nice details:
If they're giving this to China only, Imma get angry.
Bumping this for all to see.
I would love if someone was able to answer my questions above :(.
Forgot this one:
