I've uploaded 4 new models that have been coverted using Startools. Joining the previous Footman model are now the Grunt, Axethrower, Archer and Rifleman.
Thanks for the crits! I'm gonna tweak the spec and add a bit more grit to him. I'll need to fix the alpha on his beard as well, and probably make it less white than it is right now. I use Sculptrix, Maya and Photoshop mainly, with Max as the exporter for SC2.
I've been getting some models set up for Startools. It's a pain having to recreate shaders and set up the animations again for them all. I'll probably be including weaponless versions of some of them as well, with separate weapon models as attachments. I haven't touched some of these models for a couple months, so I'll have to look over which ones are ready for publishing and which ones still need work. I'm aiming to upload some of these within a week or so!
I'm back after a long hiatus. Too much to do IRL, wish I had a time machine.
The Orc and Skeleton still need to be optimized in startools. I really need to finish those models, but I keep getting sidetracked with other stuff to do.
I've been workin on my first attempt on a portrait model. Still a work in progress, but it's getting close to where I want it now.
That is sweet! Though the design looks more like a regular plane than a gyrocopter without the big propellor on the top, I really dig the bulky design.
If I make a gyrocopter, I'll probably be designing it more like the Warcraft 2 version. More Warhammer less Steampunk.
I'm definitely planning on a Doomhammer conversion of Blizz Allstars Thrall. A lot of my plans revolve around using assets from that mod (I very well hope they keep it as a mod, or have assets available to use), so I'm mostly biding my time making models until then.
Yeah, the ballista and catapult aren't finished yet, they don't have the dirt, shadow and highlights pass on the texture as well as no normal maps yet. For now it's on the backburner, I'm about to tackle some creeps!
Right now I'm using a specific diffuse map made for the unit. It should be simple enough to swap out the textures with texture select by id in data though.
Thanks for catching the bugs!
The Troll didn't have team colors yet, but it should be a fairly easy change to make. I'll add this to the list.
I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the Rifleman's animations. I'll take a look in the max files tomorrow

Have a pic of it? I don't have HOTS yet (and probably won't be getting it any time soon) so I'm not sure what that looks like
Using the WoW animations. I don't usually animate, and doing it this way saves me a lot of time.
Not a big update, but was in a gif-making mood.
Just a quick little WIP update. Work's ramping up again, so I'll probably not be able to finish him up until the end of the month.

Definitely a neat idea :)

It's easy enough to export without the particles. I don't know why you'd want it without though, I think it looks way better with the water splashes
Water Elemental!
Although it's real similar to the WoW version, this is a new model with a higher poly count and different texture.
