I've recently begun work on a new 3v3, 3rd person Shooter arena. I've since found that before i can really go anywhere with it, i need objective and honest opinions on game play, controls, environments, and so forth. I want to have a few people who will help me beta test my map so i can get it where i want it to be. Thus far i only have one of my friends helping me, and his opinion is hardly objective.
Concept
Four Arenas, each based for 3v3 (may make separate map with more different arenas later)
Six playable characters, each with a differently operation and damaging weapon, and two unique abilities.
(may make more later, still working on first six)
Roles For each class that are specific and should be adhered to in order to use the class to its full potential.
Currently i have three of the arenas done, and the triggers done for a 1v1 fight (alpha test purposes)
I have two characters in progress, but playable, need their second unique ability and tweaking.
Specials
Machine gunner
Targeted special - Riot Shot (A massive round that penetrates all targets in a line for 15 feet for 300 damage)
Area special - Medpack (self explanatory - 50% hp)
Boomer -
targeted special- Firefly ( a barrage of missiles that raise into the air before bombarding their target 55 damage per missile.)
Area special - Armor up ( 10 seconds of invincibility)
Sniper
Targeted Special - Deadeye (Deals 900 damage to one target)
Area special - Vanish (15 seconds of invis, can still be hit, but not seen)
Trapper
Targeted special - Magus turret (Drops an automated Revolver turret to shoot enemies that tread too close)
Area special - Throwdown ( Drops a trail of 10 spider mines, each dealing 100 damage, mines last 25 seconds.)
Pyro
Targeted Special - Scald (fires a long range stream of napalm, sticking to enemy armor and dealing damage, Increases all damage taken by enemy.)
Area special - Furnace (Engulfs the pyro in flames, dealing 100 damage per second to all enemies within 5 feet)
Pistoleer
Targeted special- Matrix generator (throws a matrix field that slows down all targets that step into it, also slows missiles and projectiles.
Area special - Deflector Shield (Reduces all damage taken to a set amount for 20 seconds.)
Very open to suggestions on any abilities, or new ability ideas.
