My friend and I are interested in creating a Mod for Starcraft 2, in the same style as Advance Wars. I've been inspired by the final fantasy mod
Now heres the catch, the closest experience i've had with making a map was a lame wc3 pirate map.
IDEAS:
-like something similar to capturing buildings, by pre determined areas that only infantry can move into and capture the node.
-income every player's turn
-battles would be set out as let's say a single marine fights another single marine on a field. The game changes scene to show 5 marines versus 5 marines in a foliage covered,grass here and there area.
-movement would have to work like a tile based movement system
-the dramatic characters yelling at one another in game would also be fun to do.
