I thought long and hard about reducing the size -> one of the main reason I went to make another map (mecha force). The mechas are a smaller size.
The thing is, starcruisers is really about the might of a star-ship that can launch huge amount of weapons at once. Its about devastating each other's cruisers and watching the ship blow apart piece by piece. Each indvidual module can be blown away and turn into a flaming piece of wreck. A tiny thing just isn't as impressive. Dunno if you can see the details, but there's actually floating bodies when a piece of the starcruiser gets blown away. :)
->some of the other smaller maps I've made: Defend Against Yourself, Fortress America, Icehot dance off. and Death-car Roundabout. Honestly, I don't think they are that much fun. :p They were made because I had some idea, but they lack that 'fun' polish. The only other big map I've made is Battle at char, I really like that map. Used to play it a lot when b.net had the cycling system.

and in cutseens i cant see anything .... in only replays i can see a little
still there .... ps what your friend code and name ...is it because of a graphics setting i see AI and +5 +4 for score and and the ultities and hot bars and invatory

Edit: Got around to trying the mech map out... it's awesome XD even though i got myself killed at the first part >.<;; should've gotten flamers instead.... or a big laser <.<;; but seriously the whole idea of putting stuff together to make something big like that is awesome XD and having turrets all on a mech firing in every single direction was ubersome :3
hehe, yeah. The 'scarcasm' was the main reason I wanted to make the video, thought it would be kinda funny. :) And the starships turned out pretty awesome too. That real inspiration was actually the video of the zealot dancing on Ultralisk. After watching that, I decided to go all out and do tons of attachments to the terrran buildings to make it look like a flying ship. Originally, the modules were just bland buildings.
Okay, I know that was back on the first page, but did you mean my Zealot vs Ultralisk video in "Wingednosering's data assets" thread? If so, I'm quite happy, because the whole intention of those abilities was to inspire things like this. Keep it up!

Edit: tried it out ^w^ it's really nice XD although i got abit sad when it wouldent let me buy the stuff in the reactor menu q.q *was eyeing that terran laser...* ah well ^w^ was a blast duking it out with the AI spacestation XD oh and it's cool that you added those options at the start o.o though i was abit dumbfonded when it poped up and once i was gonna make my selection it randomed everything for me XD ah well =P but yeah it was awesome trying the map out ^W^ i'm probably gonna try it out again when i figure out how to reduce my lag ingame <.<;; seriously... can't make a carrier cause all the fighters make my comp lag >.<;; that or it's cause i used test document.... ah well...
but keep it up Sand! ^w^ your maps that i've tried so far have both been awesome XD
Yeah, lag is definitely a concern for this map. Was thinking about removing all background triggers and reduce the size of the map by 50%. That should reduce most of the lag... and yeah, the reactor menu does not work. Its just a placeholder for what's suppose to be there.
In any case, I've moved on to another new project, yeah! The new project will be called Zombie Roundabout and it's a map based off Mecha Force vs zombies. So far Mobile Battle Fortress inspired Starcruiers -> Death-car Roundabout -> Mecha Force -> and now Zombie ROundabout!
Wow, thanks. I was wondering why the hours played was that high, hehe. As for mobile battle fortress, its the same map as this. The only difference is it didn't look like starships. Just added a tips screen to show levels.

A playable version has been uploaded! It is extremely satisfying to clean up the triggers and finish up this map. And adding a few finishing touches.

bug/problem the reactor menu wont work
