Hi guys. I have an issues with standard nova domination beam - it doesn't display itself on low graphics settings.
It would help me immensly to have a version that is displayed for low graphics people. I don't know anything about models, but I once overheard in irc someone saying that some models in sc2 have certain flags that make them not show on lowest settings and that one can use startools to toggle that flag and reimport model into sc2.
Can someone try it out for me? Should I export beam model and attach it here, or is that a wasted effort/what else would be needed from me?
If I remember well, on my old comp I played the entire WoL campaign and I remeber perfectly that beam being shown, and it was a 7-years-old comp. Now I can't test as I've got a new one but I think that model was shown on low-graphic settings.
That's possible, I double-checked, the beam "disappears" when "EFFECTS" graphics setting is set to "LOW". And disappears is pretty vague, I just noticed that only middle part of beam (blues psionic waves) disappear, beams beginning point is still active. That's 75% particle detail reduction for you =|
The question still remains, can it be made so that low effects players see the beam in any significant form, does it has to be remade from scratch with exact intention to exist under that particle reduction?
