Hello, i am in the process of making a third person action level that is basicaly just a fortress full of bosses, its almost done but needs testing and a bunch of polish on the in between parts. It is 100% playable and i would like ppl to try it out and let me know what they think, im sure some bosses need nerfs but i have defeated them all.
(for some reason my map doesnt show up when you search)
Brief video showcasing some gameplay of the first boss, now i cannot stress enough how much more difficult the other bosses are compared to him. If you can beat Ultros or especially Big Bad i give you kudos :)
Well, what to say.. I defeated the badass Archon and his two friends and got a Victory!
Is that it? Did I won? It's not localized for me, so I'm having a hard time knowing which bosses I actually just fought.
Well, sorry to say but Broodlings are imba. I barely took any damage throughout the whole play-through and just backstabbed enemies.
I think you should rethink the balance.
Just as an idea- It would be great to be able to continously attack by holding down Left Mouse Button.
Yeah im still working on the broodlings, the archon fight isnt to balanced yet, the only bosses that are really tough atm are Big Bad and Ultros, before you go up the ramp to get to Archon go left and you will find ultros. To get to big bad you make a direct right when you enter the fortress, cant miss him lol. the Archon will be the final boss i just gotta tune him to make him harder, already got it so u fight him in a very small area with his 2 collosi guards.. but yeah give the 2 bosses i just named a try n let me know how u make out :)
haha yeah i should have never put in that victory trigger yet :). Next release im putting up a blockade on the ramp that leads to his area and it will only vanish once the fort is cleared ;) mwahaha. Oh and if you ever end up trying out Ultros or Big Bad let me know what you think, i dont think they are even possible lol... prolly gotta nerf em.
Great game! Two quick suggestions I have while playing.
Perhaps your target crowd isn't low level computers. But in any case, when the camera is high enough that all the units are in my "line of sight" (even though terrain/buildings may be in the way) and my computer lags. Maybe you should divide the map into a few different areas and spawn the units at different times (leaving them in and taking them away for the cinematic if you want.) The difference in FPS is just drastic between when my camera is tilted towards the ground and tilted towards the sky and the rest of the map.
And one more thing. The cinematic gets really old when I keep on dying the first couple times I play it. The language is also kind of hard to follow, but now I'm just nitpicking. :P. Great map-maker once told me "99% of the time the reason someone won't play your game is presentation."
I really hope to see a final version of this, best of luck!
@vi3tbomba, i am currently developing new skills but i would prefer to 100% balance the current ones first
@Mokse. Ill look into that definently, also you can skip the cinematic by pressing Esc
Both Templars have the seperate cooldowns but they are still @8 seconds each like before
Controls for second player are as follows - Forward = I, Backwards = K, Right = L, Left = J. Melee Attack = O key (The letter not number), Spawn Broodlings = P, Spawn Healer = U.
You will most likely need a type of PC controller in order to use this efficiently, i recommend downloading Xpadder to map keys to controllers.
Also at the moment someone will have to be the designated camera controller, the camera does follow both players but it still needs to be adjusted from time to time.

Yea I saw Ultros I guess, but I went past him to check out the other areas first. Then I stumbled upon an archon and won :)

Big new update with tons of new content, i highly suggest you try out the new boss :)
Looks great. Are there any more skills besides the unit spawner? If you could incorporate a few Zelda aspects, this game could go far.
