i had an idea for a map today, i want to share it as a starting point for someone else. I already have a map under construction but i thought this would be a cool idea to share, i know i would play a game like this if it were made well enough. The map idea is like a big Chase, some players run away building up small defenses to fend off the chasers and say every 5min or so the 'run away' players must move on. This is were the strategy comes in, the chasers must also move after 5min but they do not know where the 'run aways' will go. Say the 'run aways' go to a different spot than the chasers, the runaways get a hole 5min of resource gathering and unit building unhindered by the chasers. Then after a few turns maybe the 'runaways' are strong enough to defeat the chasers, which would end the game. When i think of this i think of a big chess board and the 'runaways' must move 1 space every 5min, and the chasers must predict where they will go and follow them until they have dwindled down the runaways enough to kill them. I was also thinking that maybe you could have a big wave of zerg come and kill the runaways temporary camps after the 5min is up, they would get keep their big buildings of course but like the units and such that they cannot bring might be killed by this wave simply to get them off the map and make room for new ones. I was also thinking that the chasers would have a permanent home base, and would have to send their units via transports to the attack the runaways. This is just an idea i would like to see in a map and is up for grabs.
