I have been working on a map called Evolution for a while. Not sure if this is premature, it is at the moment in its alpha stage (I think, not sure, lol), to ask for feedback, so tell me if it is. I am new to this entire map creation thing so please have patience with me.
The basic idea is this. On a distant world a new specie has evolved, called the Matriarchs. They are now fighting for dominance. Take control over one of these Matriarchs, eradicating all enemy Matriarchs and dominate the world!
The map features:
No buildings or bases.
Neutral critters that wonder around, and neutral "birds" flying in the air.
Packs of predators running around the map hunting for prey.
Bosses that spawn every now and then, and that should be avoided since they are too strong to be killed (their location is marked on the minimap).
3 different Matriarchs. 1 that you spawn as, 2 that you can evolve into.
All Matriarchs can teleport around as they please.
A quite... sadistic economy. You get minerals and gas by attacking and killing. Ok, you can get minerals using drones, but it is slow.
You can see the enemy Matriarchs on the minimap as red dots, and they can see you.
Upgrades that make a huge difference.
The Matriarch can spawn zerglings, and these zerglings can also morph into other units. This is how you build an army.
Zerglings and mutas can clone themselves.
Have buffed some units, like the Infestor.
Have added a few new units, like the Terrors and the Sheepies.
Support for 8 players.

My ultimate goal of this map is an intense, combat-centric and fun experience that favors aggressive play and crazy tactics. Would really like some feedback on it. Especially I need to test the victory conditions, since they sometimes seem to work and sometimes they don´t (trying to make so they can handle it no matter if you play FFA or 2v2 or something). Note that the AI doesn´t work. I had to turn it off because it made the game crash. If you take your time to test it, I thank you, and hope you like it.
Note : I'd also like it if the size of the army was smaller ( makes it more manageable). I think this way there'll be more tactics ( I like sneak attacks and stuff instead of just choosing when to call my army to attack/retreat) and less of huge army crashes into other huge army.
To be honest, I am not sure. Still new with creating maps, and I guess I maybe should have looked more into it before posting this... sorry about that. How would I put it up somewhere? Or do you mean if I have published it with the editors publish feature (I have, in the EU, I think)?
So far I have just hosted it myself when I have tested it with a friend or two, and I am live Europe. But I have uploaded a version here on sc2mapster as well, so anyone should be able to look at it or test it or something. I hope, lol.
Good point about the army size. It used to be smaller, but it got a bit annoying reaching the limit all the time, so I raised it. Can lower it again, will just have to find a good level.

Looks rather cool. Is this currently in NA or EU?
