I've been working on making what is without a doubt the most complex Lego creation I have ever attempted. This thing was insanely hard to build, seriously. Anyway it is a massive part of a spaceship I"m trying to build but the thing is, I'm not sure where to go with it from here. I'll try to post a screenshot so you can look at it's ridiculous complexity. Yes, I have definitely emphasized that enough now. Anyway if you have an idea could you tell me? I've impressed the crap out of myself so far. It kinda reminds me of the middle of a battlecruiser.
I'm using this. The piece selection is bit limited but it gets the job done. It's basically digital modeling but you use the parts that they give you. If you look in the gallery you see what other people do.
I'm trying to make a spaceship similar to this project that someone made but I don't know how to make the rest of it. You know, things like weapons, the engines, a docking bay maybe, etc. etc.
In reality the corners do not look very stable so the whole tube would be likely to parallelogram, consider making the internal corners stronger or adding some cross braces. Also that looks like the front portion of a battlecruiser without the hammerhead like front piece. An alternative would be the barrel of a laser cannon.

I already spent quite a bit of time reinforcing the inside of the tube with long parts along the sides. This actually took me like 2 hours to design lol. I'll see if there is anything else I can add to it but I'm quickly running out of room. I'm not trying to make a battlecruiser but it would be pretty cool to loosely base it off of one. This thing would be a pretty BA laser if it was made into that too. It's huge even though it doesn't look like it is. It's also expensive. I checked the price and it's a whopping $179 so far. That's for the custom order ans such. If it were a real set it would be 1/2 that. You can actually order these creations and build them for real if you have enough time and money.
I have this thing in my basement. It broke a lot though. Start screaming in 5,4,3,2,1 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.............................................end scream
When I was a kid I had a huge bonus room upstairs that I filled with legos. All of my neighborhood friends would come over and we'd play "Life" where we'd build an entire town with legos, create silly characters for ourselves and spend the entire day just burying ourselves in legos.
I probably had some creepy fetish that was unhealthy. . . but who would ever deny legos?!
meh too expensive? Most sets go for like $15-$125. The extremely nice ones go for $125-$400. Yeah I guess if you aren't into it anymore then it would seem expensive. I'm not a MASSIVE fan anymore but if I see something like this then I think about it.

Is this .. like.. the entire thing? Doesn't look like a spaceship but more like a barrel or piece of a water pipe :D
And what do you mean where to go from here?
I wasn't aware legos were digital now.

I think that's in the Lego Digital Designer thing or whatever the hell it's called.
Alright let me show you.

It may look simple to do but it is actually quite difficult to get to where I did.
This is another thing I made, but it was awhile ago and this project is a bit out of my comfort zone.

Hello, I am Küken, and I am a Legoholic...
I was addicted; actually, until I found mapping tools. Did miss the whole digital lego thing, though. I still have tons of the "real" legos :D
Same here;p

zomg legos get me all hot and bothered. . .

Legos are awesome, I fucking loved them. When I was a kid I saved money to buy small 3-6€ kits, lol. I usually filled my room floor with them.
Now I have programming to build my own stuff, fortunately. Legos are too expensive nowadays, like Warhammers.
Well, there's still those Traveller's Tales Lego games. I have all of them, from Star Wars to Batman xDDD.

It kinda makes you go "o.O, that is made of plastic?"
Legos are getting too intensive now. Ever since they came out with the Bionics or whatever, it went down hill. I want legos where I don't need to follow a manual to build anything. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Minifigure-Ice-Cube-Tray-852771?c=LEGO-Exclusives-Exclusive-Hard-to-Find-Items-ByTheme
Like WTF is that?
