I was wondering if staff can create a new rank called antispam rank. People who have this rank will have the ability to remove spam. The real moderators and admins will monitor the antispam team so that they are consistently removing spam and not abusing the delete post button. This will allow users to be not have to filter through all the spam. What you guys think?
Update: Contacted Curse about the spam, here is their reply:

The code base on Legacy sites is currently frozen as we are trying to get everything prepared to move them to the new Curseforge platform. As such, team members of Curseforge are supposed to be going through the SC2Mapster forums for spam bots any time one is reported. You should only need to report one for us to go through and get rid of all the spam posts currently provided. Please be sure to report any spam posts you see so that we can take care of them until the move.
I think is a good idea but...................you know there have been tread about this SPAM THING and the only nice thing that curse can say or have said is "we are working on it"
All I can say is get use to it cause Curse will not do anything for this site, sometimes I think they are just waiting for Sc2mapsters to die.
Hmm you are right, I figured everyone here would've asked Curse for help already...the best thing is to just simply manually remove the spam posts.
I am curious; I goto other Curse websites like minecraft forums and they have been invaded by spam bots before. They have successfully added a feature where the website will check if you are a bot. I sent in a ticket to see if we can have that installed here too. Unfortunately due to the holidays, they won't respond until mid Janurary.

I suspect you will get not very far as it has been the case of most of us that have try to make a tread about it. :-(

This is the last we've heard on it from Kaelten in June last year. Nothing seems to have changed since then.
I received a reply from Curse, I posted it up top.
