I learned this recently. You can make a new map but instead of making it a map, choose "mod" from the drop down. Then you define all your custom units here. Then you can import that mod into all your other maps like you do with "liberty campagin" and "liberty multi"...As for triggers. just select em all and hit copy.
Thanks. I have made first map of my campaign and I want to copy all my modified units to another map, so do I need to copy each unit one by one by changing active document from Window-menu? I have fixed all units' command cards while using Liberty Story dependency like missing Stimpacks from Marine's command card, Combat shields... etc.
So is there any way to save all modified data into a dependency? Hope you understand what I mean.
OK. After some testing I noticed that model of units broke when moving from map to another. On my first map I have unit "Marine" and if I copy it to another map it changes "Marine Copy" and it doesn't work.
And yes you can copy all custom units by holding Shift while on data editor.
I figured another way too that might be harder but this method was easier for me to understand and get my custom units copied. This might be easier way for beginners like me.
My map was named Mission1 and I saved it again named as Mission2. After this you can change type of terrain from Map - Map textures and just start do new terrain, triggers etc. for your next map.
I have tried to to a get my customed units to another map by mod and if I use my mod textures broke up :( For example my factory's model changed into white ball...
Hmm, export all maps' XML files (can be done through the Import Editor), merge all of the files either by hand or by some XML managing program, then reimport (might need to be done through an MPQ editor).
If you want to modify size of your map you can do by clicking Map - Map Bounds. Check [x] Modify Map bounds. After that "Modify Camera Bounds" too.
I think this is easiest way to make new map with modified data. If you are going to make a new map anyway it's not so big job just to change textures and remake terrain. Compared to all data messing I think terrain editing is much more fun and you can also save parts of map if you want to.
Anyway I think this is 100% working method to get all data copied.
I'm going to use this way to get my modified unit data to copied on campaign maps.
This method doesn't require any mods so people can't do mistakes by copying mod to wrong place etc.
Is there a way to take Unit and Trigger settings from another map and use them in a different map?

What if I have multiple maps with custom data in all of them that I want in one map?

Ah, I kinda suspected as much. I hope blizzard makes a more automated process for this. Thx though.
After some testing I noticed its better to expand map to west and south. I got some camera issues when I expanded to north and east.
Triggers can be copied to map from each other by simply copy-paste method.
