I'm trying to figure out how to make it so that the "Hostile NPC" have to be destroyed for the game to end. Right now it just ends right at startup. any clue on how to create a "win only " when npc total units = 0 ?
I haven't gotten that far myself with the victory but I can tell you how to stop the game from ending right away. Go to your triggers and delete all of them. The map editor always sets the game as Melee and with that comes the triggers. If you are making a custom game then you gotta remove those triggers and start from scratch.
Event: Any Unit dies.
Condition: (Number of Living units in (Any units in Entire Map owned by <NPC player> matching Excluded: Missile, Dead, Hidden, with at most Any Amount)) == 0
Action: End game in Victory for Killing Player.
The player that kills the last of the NPC's units wins the game.
Uses the following functions:
Event: Unit Dies
Conditions: Number of Units in Unit Group, Units in Region Matching Condition
Actions: End Game for Player
