Hey just want to introduce some idea, i dont rly know how good it is so i will just throw it for public discussion. So the map is suggested to be in rts genre, but focused more on micro control like wc3, with a small armies (max 15-20 units in army), the units can lvl up when killing enemy units or neutrals. New lvl grants not too much just a little more extra damage and hp. Units can equip 2 items, but they cannot be dropped and if unit dies it cannot be resurrected and items are being destroyed. Every unit can equip some gear dropped from neutrals or provided by upgrades that you made in some building of your main base, so the command card of each unit contains this upgrades and you applying this boosts individually for each unit (it does cost some amount of resources however). Few exaples for this upgrades: personal defence drone, increased range of weapon, slow, crit etc. Resource income and army supply is automated. So i hope you got the idea.
