Hi, I'm working on a map based off of the battleroom from the novel enders game, but am really terrible at using the data editor. My needs are pretty basic, I only need 2 skills at the moment (although more may come if the map is well received).
Skill one:
Fires a beam (preferably using a narrower version of just one of the collosus' beams) that follows the mouse (not ending at the mouse, but rather a certain distance away from the unit) that deals damage based on how far away the enemy is. It would also drain energy as it is fired and collide with cliffs. Think of it like a laser gun that can be moved while firing, diminishes in strength with distance, and heats up as it is being fired. I realize this can't be done soly in the data editor, but I'm sure it can be done when combined with the trigger editor (though the custom camera control I have devised will increase the difficulty slightly).
Skill two:
Much simpler, this skill simply fires a shockwave that deals damage based on distance, collides with cliffs, and requires a set amount of energy.
