For an AoS type map.
Im looking for someone adept at modifying units by making them appear different through attachments and such. Done in the Data editor. A spell/ability designer could also suffice, but while its not high priority, Its still something that could use attention.
The person that was working on this, I dont know what happened to him. Hasn`t login to Sc2mapster for about 10 days now. I do not intend the project to be delayed because of this.
Currently Im over-seeing a team of between 4-5 people. Project is close to being complete.
Essentially:
You do exactly what I tell you to do. I will provide all the specifications and exact information for you to work with. So your life is made easy.
You get:
Your name credited on the loading screen.
Any fame/exposure/money earned will be rightfully divided with you depending on the amount of work you have contributed.
A chance provided, Should I desire so, To work with myself and my close developers on designing premium maps in the future.
You get to work with some very talented and cool people.
If you have skill/talent and would prefer helping out in a team, A situation where we all win in a much faster period of time, Then apply/leave your info here or PM me.
This project and everything I set out to do is of the highest quality. So, Jokers, people in it for lulz, or any other bs or w/e need not bother.
I might be interested In designing my own heros for your map, I am slighty familiar with units/actors/behaviors/effects/abilites still working on making more complicated stuff with them but yeah.
My question to you is....... If this is your main project, why arnt you doing all the data editing yourself? Considering that what is done in the data editor is what basically makes the map unquiqe.

Its amazing how much effort has to be put into a Starcraft 2 map to make it come out remotely good. Its nothing like Warcraft 3 editor, Quick/fast and it was pretty easy designing fun maps if you knew what you were doing.
Myself personally, Im working on the core triggers(all gameplay triggers, Victory/defeat conditions), Im programming the A.I logic for the neutral Heroes that players may wish to fight. The dynamic day/afternoon/night system + weather system, Im designing too. Lastly Im helping out on the the Terrain as well. On top of managing my 4 other team members.
You could call it a total conversion, I suppose. Everything is custom made, absolutely everything.
I can send you a PM with some preliminary tasks and things to design. Its not anything complex or over the top, So I think you probably could handle it.

Thats how you get bigger and better projects, as teams. Each person doing what he or she is best at, making the whole project shine.

Still looking.
Really good opportunity, Wont come again, chance to get your name immortalized;p, And for your skill/talent to be put to good and meaningful use.
Post an example of what you would like... I dabble in the data editor enough to be a bit proficient with it
If I wanted to post an example, I would have. If you are not enthusiastic or really motivated to it, I honestly wouldn`t want you. This isn`t a side project by any means. You were also supposed to complete something for me in the past, in which I never heard from you.

Setting aside the fact that nobody who knows what they're doing is going to take you seriously when you say things like "You do exactly what I tell you to do" (unless you're a proven modder, but you aren't)—setting that aside...what are people supposed to be enthusiastic or really motivated about? You've given zero specifics about the map other than that it's yet another AoS.
Talent attracts talent. Assuming you're looking for a skilled, long-term team member, your best play here is to show off what you and your current team are capable of. Otherwise you're just going to continue to attract people who flake on you after a few weeks or, if you're really lucky, a few months. As it stands, the prospect of future collaborations and premium maps carries no weight.

Fascinating, but you are in no position to offer me advice of any kind. I stated exactly what the person will get/expect, and what would be required of him. I did say the project is nearly finished, and that Ive been working with 4 very talented people. Interested parties would be briefed in detail through a PM. Best to read before feeling the need to lecture.

In honesty though. Im really a nice guy to work with;), and I pretty much have this position filled.
In honesty though. I'm really a nice guy to work with ;)
I can testify to this. From my experience, It's not all about giving/taking orders. There is a good mix of democracy and brainstorming involved when it comes to the decision to implement new ideas. It's personally been an enriching experience on my part with regards to taking part in this project.
A toast to ye EternalWraith for being the visionary on this one.
Well, I am looking forward to your project release. No doubt it will blow SotIS out of the water. I am also looking forward to impressing you with my RPG project, since I know you have a distaste for the genre :)
if you still need a data editor. I think I can for fill the role for the bigger part (dunno if I'm good enough for what your looking for).
my own big project is done and require only bug fixes and kinda looking for the next one.
what are my experience.
can find my way around the data and trigger editor.
can make units without any problems. change all stats, apply animations to spells, etc
can make kinda every spell possible and if it can't work I Make it work.
I did not mess allot with items and attachment but it took me 1-2 days to understand the major part of the data editor. don't think items and attachments would cause much of a problem.
the project that I just finished: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/tma-classic/
made all units, hero's and spells from scratch (92 units, 31 behaviours, 49 ability's, 222 effects, 257 actors and lots of other crap like buttons, upgrades ,validators, etc)
if you need me I will hear it. otherwise I bet someone else can fill the role
(oh. 1 warning. I hate to clean up someone else his mess)

Ha, I love Rpg`s!. I just think a lot of map-makers have a hard time developing those types of maps. The editor itself poses limitations with loading different maps on the fly in a multiplayer game and other issues. However, With the right attitude and persistence you can definitely overcome any obstacle. It definitely is a cool genre and I hope mappers will bring justice to it in due time.
