I'm currently working on a map inspired by the Half-Life mod, Natural Selection. I have a few ideas for it, but to start with I'm going to stick to this idea, in short words:
The strategy and thriller behind the map is about controlling resources and strategic points.
It's a Team vs Team setup (up to 7vs7), Terran vs Zerg and every player control 1 unit each.
Controls are (similar to Bloodline Champions / Alien Swarm):
Use W/S/A/D keys to move your unit north/south/west/east/diagonal.
Aim with your mouse, your unit aim/face towards the position of your mouse pointer.
Mouse Button 1/2 are used for Fire and Alt-Fire.
As Terran you can choose between an arsenal of weapons and armours, build defensive structures and build various depots for munitions, healing, upgrades and tech.
As Zerg you evolve into bigger nastier creatures, build defensive structures, build tech structures that allows you to evolve, spread creep over the map for your benefit, but especially, crawl through the ventilation systems to surprise and backstab the Terrans.
When it comes to triggering and data we're almost starting from scratch, WASD movement is working and some units of "suggest" have been placed on the map. Other than that, what I have done so far is creating the Terrain and Pathing which is almost done (it will need some tweaking and balancing for the real gameplay). My best guess is that the triggering and data will require a lot of hard work and patience.
I also have to add that everyone in this team will be given full credit and may contribute with ideas and help deciding things for as long as it stick to the original plot. It is everything from units, abilities, stats for those mentioned, map design, controls and so on.

Notice that the "ventilation" system, the small passages are only fit for small Zerg creatures such as Zergling, Broodling, Drone and so on. No Terran units or bigger Zerg units such as Hydralisk or Ultralisk can fit in it.
