I just felt like talking about this idea here. We're all map makers so I was wondering if any of this would work in sc2 or...well...I just thought it would be best if I asked here.
Hello everyone, this is a concept idea for a standalone game I'd like to call Mind Equilibrium. (A chemical equilibrium is a point when a chemical product and reactant are both equals and stay static unless an outside force effects the reaction like temperature or pressure) It is a first person puzzle game that emphasizes genius thinking. You literally have to think outside the box (the game). With this concept in mind, here are a few examples of some puzzles you will have to complete.
PUZZLE: (Difficulty - Easy) You are in a room with another figure on the opposite side. Every move you make, that figure will do a mirrored version of your action. Attempting to walk past it will just make you both collide. Attacking it will make both you and it get hurt. There's a machine on the left side of the room. (right side for figure) Attempting to activate it will make you character put both hands on the terminal and activate a turret that kills you.
ANSWER: To win, you must punch the figure until one of his and your arms are broken. (This means you can left and right click to punch with either arms. Punching each other mirrored means you both hit each other's hands) Once you break one of your arms, go up to the terminal and activate it. This will create an error saying you both have opposite hands touching the terminal. The machine will explode and the figure will disappear. A door on the other side of the room will appear.
PUZZLE: (Difficulty - Easy) You are in a large room with an indestructible mech that stomps on you if you stop moving. There's a grinding machine in a corner that's suspiciously alone. There's no doors. Running into the grinder will kill you.
ANSWER: When killed by the grinder, there's a 3 second delay. If you time it right, you can get both the grinder and the robot to squish you. This will send an error that says "unexpected death". You will teleport to an empty room with 1 door.
PUZZLE: (Difficulty - Moderate) You are in a small empty room with a door and a number pad next to it. Activating this number pad will bring up a window where you punch in a code. You must get the correct 10 digit code to get through.
ANSWER: If you search for a walkthrough on this level, you will find one that will tell you the code.
PUZZLE: (Difficulty - Moderate) You are in a throne room where there's an evil man slumped on his throne chair. Behind him is the entrance to the next room. If your character sees the evil man, his eyes will glow red and he will kill you.
ANSWER: If you create a popup window and drag it over his face and keep it there. You technically cannot see him. With this, you can sneak past him.
