I feel like a complete noob having to ask this, but for Warcraft3 there was a nice little dandy 'maps' folder and stuff, but from what I've found in my sc2 folder, I don't know where the heck to put the maps I download, I can't just download/play online because my latency is way too high, so I want to just download some custom maps to play offline in single player.
Don't worry, you not =). It is a little harder to find now and can be found in
C:\Users\YOUR USER\Documents\StarCraft II\Maps or my / documents, then starcraft 2, then maps.
All I see in that folder is 'Accounts' 'EditorVariables' and 'Variables', no 'Maps' folder, so I tried making it myself and placing the file inside, still when I press 'Player vs A.I.' it says 'No Content Found'
oh you cant play maps like that man... hehee, you HAVE to publish the map and play online...=( the only other option is to get a unportected map, and "test play" in the editor. There is no single player offline [other than campaign stuff]
Wow, blizzard is being an ass this time around, no more downloading maps and playing them offline where you don't have an internet connection... takes out about half of my playing time, thanks a lot Blizzard. Thanks for the info

Yeah, though I dont agree with how blizzard is handling the whole UMS maps all around. I do see their thoughts behind why. Only time can tell on if things will change. until then, as I said, feel free to take a look at the map section here (and on sc.curse.com) find yourself and awesome map made by the community here, and "test play" it in the editor, its the same thing. Im also told you can just drag the map onto the sc2.exe and it will auto "test play" the map, though I have no tried this.
