How in the name of pie do you upgrade to above patch 15? I desperately need the new models.
EDIT: I disabled my firewall, ran SC2, and eventually got to the login screen. After typing in my email, it closed. I am running as an administrator on Windows 7.
"EDIT: I disabled my firewall, ran SC2, and eventually got to the login screen. After typing in my email, it closed. I am running as an administrator on Windows 7." <= I can't log in to SC2.
The start-up window after running the Starcraft 2 executable is supposed to automatically detect and install any updates before running the game. I assume it was working correctly before?
1) You can try changing your update server. Go to Starcraft II Beta/Support and open the file realmlist.stf with your notepad.
If you don't have this file, then make a new textdocument and name it realmlist.stf
Then write this if you're from US:
set patchlist eu-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch
Or this is you're from EU:
set patchlist us-beta.patch.battle.net:1120/patch
Save the file and try patching. Sometimes it's just the server (often the EU one) which bitches around.
2) Redownload and install the game. It'll be patched to patch 16 (or so) right off the bat.
I've tracked the problem to my antivirus (Norton 360) with a pretty good degree of certainty. The guide linked to above has a guide that's supposes to cover this, but it covers a different version with a totally different menu layout. Anyone have any idea what to do?
It actually does matter... I need the new models for an SC2 machinima project, and soon. Especially the unarmed human model I assume they're including. ;o
EDIT: Actually, if someone could just toss me a copy of said model...

Just login to SC2? =O.

Well, make certain that you have ports 3724, 1119, and 1120 open, since apparently those are the ones that the Blizzard Downloader uses.

Otherwise don't really know what to say, sorry can't be of much help.
Well, I haz 2 suggestions:

Doesn't really matter now, Battle.net is down for good, :(.
Oh, in that case... Try using our (ran by myself and Maged) patch mirror.
The files contained need to be placed in the Updates folder inside the folder you installed the game into. By default, that is...
If you have problems, see the Patch common issues sticky in the Tech Support forum for more info.
No civilian models yet :/ wait for retail
I looked in the patches with WinMPQ and realized that. •annoyed•
