The Data editor is really different from everything else we knew before. Many people started doing triggers because they did the same in war3 or know how to code.
The data editor is really powerful but the interface isn't really polished yet so it's kinda hard to use it right now. Give people time and i'm pretty sure that you'll see amazing heros :)
Another part of the issue is that the Inventory system doesn't seem to be fully implemented yet. There's an issue with different Item Container displays on different units overlapping each other for no apparent reason. If you're going to have only one unit with an Inventory per player, this shouldn't be an issue.

As a huge DotA and SC2 fan I really hoped to see some nice AOS map in SC2 with heroes that function like the WC3 ones.
I have seen many very complicated and well dont maps on this site, but I haven't seen any sinlge map that has heroes like those from WC3.
Why is that? Does no one have the will to create an AOS map? Or is it just too complicated?
Bifuu's Hero Tutorial might be of some use to you.
