I would definitely be on board for this! I am more of a terrainist and designer, but I was actually working on a CT map for SC1. I never published it but i had the whole map designed. I am still not to advanced with triggers and the data editor yet, so if someone with more experience in those fields would help out I'd definitely get started on this. I don't think anyone is working on a Chrono Trigger map that I am aware of..
Not sure I ever played the CT map your referring to, but I can probably check it out as a reference, I already have some great ideas for the style of it.
Chrono Trigger was never turn based. If I remember correctly the higher your speed the quicker you regained your action bar which let you do an action. That kept the battles fast paced. Also they would kind of move around after an attack. Instead of being the row, attack move back. The characters would attack and move away slightly.
Its turn based:p its just more like real time turned base idk whats it called, but its the same as half of the final fantasy games, its pretty much turn based with bit more fun in it:p

Someone with talent should remake the Chrono Trigger Map from the original Starcraft for Starcraft 2.
@DZLittl: Go

It was mediocre. It was just ye olde attack-move RPG.
Now, if you made a turn based version...

They had chrono cross as well but don't think that was turn based either.
