I am not sure if this is the right forum, but I have been looking around trying to find an answer or two. I want to take one of the campaign missions and edit it to make a mission of my own. I do not plan to publish it, but just play around with the mission. However I notice when you try to edit a campaign mission and save it elsewhere, the campaign upgrades are not put in the mission. Stimpacks, neosteel frame, tech reactors, and all the other upgrades are absent. Is there a way to keep these available in the mission or preset them? Also is there a way to change the difficulty on a mission because they seem to run at normal when tested from the editor.
Click on the "File" menu located normally at the top left of the terrain editor.
Choose the "Dependencies..." option from the drop down menu.
Click the "Add Standard..." (Campaign or melee) or "Add Other..." (User created mods downloaded from battle.net) buttons.
Add Standard... - Tick the campaign or melee mods to add to the resources your map can use and click "Ok".
Dependencies are there.
I figured out how to change the difficulty.
However I still can't figure out how to get campaign upgrades and/or tech into the map.
ie... Bunkers will not have neosteel frame, ghosts will not have no-energy cloak, vikings will not have their extra range.
I looked under the bunker and it has neosteel frame there, and under requirements it has neosteel frame(campaign).
No stimpacks, combat shields, concussive shells, orbital command.
I know the technology things like Orbital depots, ultra capacitors, hercules will probably be harder to get in, but from looking at the units in the editor... most should have some of the regular upgrades available.
