Let's say I have 3 buttons which look like buttons, but should act sort of like checkboxes. If I press one, it should remain visually pressed until one of the other buttons are pressed, at which point it becomes unpressed. Only one buttons can stay pressed like this.
Is there built in support for this?
To see what I mean to accomplish, enter any starcraft game and click F12 (help menu). When you press the buttons on the left side, they will get selected and stay that way until another button is pressed.
You could probably just make a checkbox dialog item and change the image for checked and unchecked (pressed button and unpressed button).
In worst possible scenario, you would have to photoshop it to fit the format of a checkbox image. I am sure if you cannot do it, someone here is generous enough fill your request.
If you understand the idea, then disregard that checkbox comparison. I wasn't sure how to convey the idea otherwise. Basically, I want buttons that act the way the buttons in the F12 help menu does.
Several ways you can do this, the best one would be kanaru's.
1 - Tint the two non-clicked images to a color of around 175 - 200. This will make the clicked image appear bright.
2 - Overlap another button image on the clicked button, and set transparency mode to lighten (will pretty much do what it says)
3 - Lower the alpha on the other two images.
However, it's better to use Kanaru's method, since it's the most accurate.
Hmmm, I guess it could work out using those specifications. I'll try it and see if I'll be able to make it look good. Kind of disappointed the buttons can't be turned into sticky buttons though...
Edit: Maybe I'll resort to the photoshop scenario. Do you know of a tutorial I could read on how to convert it to the right format? I can do the photoshopping, but I haven't imported anything to the editor yet.

I'm not able to change the images for checkboxes. I could do your worst case scenario, but I'd rather see if it can be done in a simpler way first.
