I want to make it so when my hero is in a distance of 1.0 of a specific unit owned by player 0 the Hero gains a specific ability, and the unit is being killed.. Like an item you run thru, which adds an ability.. How is that made? Have been trying for hours now.. =)
I'd use an event "unit enters region" and set it to a cirlce region within range of that unit.
I don't mean to place an actual circle region, you should use the function to generate a circle region around the unit, so it doesn' matter where that unit is.
