i did a search on bounty and ive found nothing on this forum.
can someone explain a good way to make a "mineral per kill" trigger or "kill 4 units for 1 mineral"
ive been trying to understand how to use the trigger editor but its very difficult now that blizzard has removed many events from the trigger editor and its more condition based.
Data --> Units --> [unit name here] --> (none) Kill Resource
Changing that should give you X minerals for killing a certain unit.
Another option is to use the triggers something to the effect of:
Whenever (Player 1) kills (Unit) --> Modify Resources of (Player 1) +X Minerals/Gas
but that's not as efficient...
Setting up a units kill resource SHOULD give the killer the reward. Make sure the units are enemies, not neutral towards each other, or you might not get the reward. But setting the kill resource in a units data should work. In fact, I have used it before successfully.
margeman2k3 posted a picture. Make sure THAT FIELD is filled out.
Worst case, if it is glitched, just add this trigger:
event- unit dies
condition- alliance check- if (owner of killing unit) is enemy of (owner of triggering unit)
actions:
if: unit type of triggering unit = zergling
then: modify player (owner of killing unit) minerals + 5
else : none
if: unit type of triggering unit = zealot
then: modify player (owner of killing unit) minerals + 15
else: none
this is more work but it will work for sure.

Make sure you have "Show advanced values" on.
I can't seem to get this working either.
Bump for solution!

kill resource seems to work fine for me, it even puts little floating blue +10's whenever something dies
I just discovered that some units simply doesn't give bounty even though you have filled that field, maybe its due to the Unit type or something.
