Whenever I test my map, it will not start at the Starting Location I made for player 1. I assigned the Start Location, "Red Start" to Player 1, which is the one you play. However, it does not center on the Lair like it's supposed to when I test it. How do you get the starting location to work?
In the terrain editor, push P or go to Views->Points and add enough "start location" points for each player.
Then, go to Map->Player Properties and set "Start Location" for each player to the set points.
[edit] Forgot to add that if you remove melee staring units, start locations don't have the camera positioning effect. You'll have to trigger the camera to focus to the point if you removed melee starting units.
I did remove the melee starting units. But, yes, I did all of that which you mentioned before your edit. I said so in my post. :P
So, I need a trigger to center it on the Lair. What's the point of a Start Location then if I could just use a region instead? Shouldn't it automatically go to the Start Location without a trigger?
Okay, I tried the camera centering on the Start Location, but it gives me a ground view, plus a 45 degree angle from what it's supposed to set to. How do I fix this?
I'm not at my computer with the Galaxy Editor, but you can Pan the camera to a start location. . . Atleast I think you can. Worse comes to worse, just point a point there and make the camera move to it. Hope this helped.
Then click down on your mouse wheel to get the standard map camera, and create a camera. Then move the screen to the camera instantly over 0.0 seconds.

Ack. That's what I did, but it creates a weird angle that I don't like. :/
@AegisRunestone: Go

That worked! Thank you! :D
I just wish Start Locations would behave like start locations. >.>
