I'd like an area to have creep, for gameplay purposes, but the visual effect is rather horrible and hides any nice underlying terrain.
Where can creep be modified? I'd like to make a very simple change: alter it to 50% alpha transparency. I've been searching through the data editor without success on locating information on the visual display of creep.
In the Lighting Editor (CRTL+Shift+F10) were a couple of settings about Creep - but I don't remember which, neither did I tinker around with them. But it might help you.
If anyone's figured out a way to modify the visual appearance of creep to partially or completely show the terrain beneath, it'd still be helpful - have searched for ways to do this from time to time without success.
I'm pretty sure it's impossible.
Visually, Creep does not form a "layer" over the terrain texture. It simply replaces it. Even if you change the Creep's texture to one that has alpha, the alpha areas will just be black.
The terrain "under" the creep is simply not rendered at all, regardless of the creep texture.

Can I ask what the gameplay purposes are, maybe theres a better way to go about it?
