You really should read this, I haven't solved it yet but I think I'm onto something;

Beams do seemingly have a launch option; "Host launch", however I can't find that for projectiles..
i dont know if this'll work for missles or not, but i have a spell that i made to shoot out of a person, and i just raised the hieght of the unit of the projectile to make it look as if it's coming from their torso area. looks fine to me. hope this helps.
