I am making a city with korhal buildings, and I've been trying to make them blockable(units cannot pass through the model) and destructible. I couldnt find anything in the Data section.
Im sure theres more than one way to do this, and I bet you anything theres a better way than what ill give you, but its the method I use (make Zhakul'Das Obelisk pylons, that shoot lasers... within seconds lol)
Simply go to the data editor, go to unites, make a new one, type: structure, race... w/e you like really.
Next, go to actors make a new unit actor, and attach the model to this actor (the model of the doodad), simple fill in the information and your good to go.
if you want a fast way to do this without needing to make the actors...ect
Just copy a building and its actor/effects, then in the copies actor, change the model and done!
Like I said, im 100% sure there is a better way to do this, but unitl you get that post, this might help you out =)
You can use the pathing tool for that.
Just place your buildings, then press 'H'. You will switch to a tool with which you can "paint" pathing onto the ground. Just plaint the base of all buildings red and no ground unit will be able to pass through.
If so, load up a destructible garage, and change the texture, also make sure you make it turnable so u can mess around with it.
I'm currently trying to make bridges traversable and destructible. So far I can either make a bridge traversable with no land below OR destructible. I cant do both yet. Thats because destructible is with a unit but traversable is with doodad. I dunno how to make doodads destructible.
