Hi, I'm making a tower defense and I have a tower that I duplicated a hydralisk to make. I set all the stats then called it a 'Small Fast Tower' then made an upgraded version called the 'Large Fast Tower'.
As far as I can remember the sounds worked for both of these towers when they attacked up until the point that I made the 'upgrade tower' ability and created the event so that when upgrade is pressed on the Small Tower, it upgrades to a Large Tower.
While I was doing this I ended up having to duplicate the towers a ton of times because of a few problems I had and I'm pretty sure that is where the sound issue came to be.
I already checked the 'sound - sounds' and 'sound - group sounds' in the actor and they are exactly the same as the original hydralisk (which I have tested to verify his attack sounds work). I compared the settings on the hydralisk to the towers and was unable to find any differences in them that could possibly lead to the sound not working. Note that this is just the sounds of the needle spike from the hydralisk, his movement sounds are all working.
I have searched the forums for similar threads and found about 5 but none of them were able to help me so any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, I did check the weapon when duplicating from the hydra. If you can't think of anything off the top of you head it's no prob, I'll just start fresh. Not real far into the map anyways and I should have been testing more often.
the problem when duplicating a weapon like that, is when you duplicate it, it does not actully duolicat all the actors only "direct" actors, something tells me one of the not copied actors holds the sound,
Im going to duplicate the hydra right now and see what I find. (in a bit) check back here in baout 30ish mins, i should get a chance to see.

Thanks for the help but I'm worried the problem may have occurred further along in the process.
Basically I duplicated the hydra and set up the small tower. I then duplicated the small tower to make the large tower. After that I realized I needed to change a stat on the large tower but had not duplicated that specific effect of the small tower so when I changed it on the large tower, it changed it on the small tower.
This caused me to have to duplicate the large tower to remake my small tower, while making sure to also duplicate the effect that I needed to change. Of course me being an idiot though I forgot to duplicate another part of the tower that I needed to be separate so I had to duplicate once again.
Things got real confusing real quick and suddenly I found myself completely at a loss as to what I was even doing anymore lol.
After all of that, I finally tested the map and noticed the sound was not working so I pretty much have no idea where it could have possibly occurred.
Watch out when duplicating Hydralisk. They made my game crash everytime a duplicated player hydralisk was killing an hostile unit. Very annoying bug I had to choose something else.

@Skibity: Go
its provably a problem in the "Events" field of the actor, make sure all those are correct.
The problem is I'm pretty new to map making in general and am not sure what correct exactly is.
I have compared the original hydralisk's events to the tower's event and don't see anything different that relates to sound.

re-reading, it seems like its a sound tied to the weapon, Did you copy his weapon as well take it?
