I copied "Nova" unit in the unit editor of the data module. I renamed the copied unit 'Natalia' with a matching ID after confirming they were not used before. I saved the unit, saved the map, went to the terrain editor to place the new unit... and the new unit does not exist in the unit palate of the terrain editor...?
I can search for nova, and she shows up, but not natalia. They are both listed under Campaign > Terran > Hero in the data editor, but only 1 shows up in the unit palate. Any suggestions?
all i can say is, if your looking for your custom unit natalia in the unit palate, pull up your data editor and check if it shows up there first. set your data source from "All Data" to whatever your map name is, and set your data type to units(assuming you made it a unit, cause you can make it anything) then your unit should be the only thing that shows up, and in the unit palate when i look for units like this i set it to player 1 and the rest to "all" and search it in the bar and it shows up. not sure if this helps at all, really, but i can at least try.

You need to also copy the actor for the unit.
Under the actors tab, search for Nova and duplicate it. Then, change at the top where it says "unit name - nova" to "unit name - natalia".
You might need to restart the editor as well.
I hear you on the headache comment. I think we should make a thread just for editor bitching.
+1 on above comment.
