I have been using this site a lot after discovering it, and I would like to thank the community as a whole for all the great tutorials, guides, threads and so on.
What I need help with is: enabeling researches like infantry weapons level 1/2/3 and infantry armor level 1/2/3 by multiple players, and when the research they well..research should only apply to themselves. Those that have not upgraded from the building should still see the two options: armor level 1 and weapons level 1.
At the moment I am using an interact ability on a neutral building so that all players can get to the buttons that start the research. That is fine and working. However, when the research is done, it is applied to the owner of the building, the neutral player (0).
How do I make it apply to the player who researched it, and his units. And how do I do this without making the upgrades unique to each player?
The interact ability allows you to share CONTROL of a unit, not ownership. You need a system that will allow the person to claim ownership of the building.
This is just my two cents, but you could start with an ability that changes the ownership of the unit at the same time the interact effect would be applied, and then when interact effect ends from being out of range or whatever, have the units ownership return to the neutral player.
Pretty much what riley said, have the unit change it's ownership, theres bound to be an effect that does such, check the "Hive Mind Emulator" for a good reference, it's the building in the campaign that let you mind control zerg units.

I will take a look at the hive mind emulator. I'm terrible at using the data editor though, so I will likely be stuck here for a long time.
