Alright, so I had this idea about a map where a player would "drive" a vehicle around while a different player would sit on that vehicle while maintaining control and being able to shoot things.
So I'm wondering, is it possible? To have 2 different players attach units and still have them each remain control of their respective units? Say Player 1 is driving a siege tank while player 2 is attached to the siege tank with his marine, and using his marine he casts varying skill shot abilities into a horde of zombies chasing them.
No idea about the attaching, but you may be able to do it via triggers, by having the marine's height set to the proper thing visually, and running a periodic event trigger with a very short timer.
The trigger would reposition the marine to the tank. If you didn't want the marine in the center of the tank, then your going to have to do some calculus for the angle of the tank, and which offset direction you want the marine to be in.
Yah yah, fast period events are bad; but one won't kill your map.
